My role was based in the SAP Centre of Excellence in Worthing where a series of transformational SAP solutions were being developed to update and improve taxation systems inline with government policy. As the Functional Test Manager I was responsible for the system and integration testing of multiple projects within a series of well-defined and strict releases of the overall programme using an Agile methodology.
I worked on the following releases:
- October ’12 Release: The October release of the system introduced major changes to allow for the monthly processing of PAYE Returns and payments, as well as further functionality to manage VAT and Machine Gaming Tax.
- April ’13 Release: The April release of the system introduced Real-time Information (RTI), which allows HMRC to collect information about tax and other deductions each time employers run their payroll.
